1. Stop programs running on startup
Like programs running in the tray, different programs that consequently run on startup can stop your PC. Some you may really need to run, for example, antivirus software, but others might be unnecessary.
2. Update Windows, drivers, and applications
You have most likely heard that keeping up with the latest updates is a smart thought for security. This is valid and it can help perfomance as well. Windows will naturally send you a warning when an update is available. You simply need to ensure you don't put it off.
3. Delete unnecessary files
Actually like our wardrobes and drawers, our PCs get cluttered. While you can't actually see it, you know it's there, and it very well may be adversely affecting your PC's perfomance. This is particularly evident in the event that you manage a ton of enormous files, like high-resolution pictures, audio files, and videos, on a day to day basis.
